Question 1

Will these work on an inverter supply?

Accepted Answer

LED fittings draw very little, so a whole ceiling of them is a light load on an inverter compared with fans or a pump. Where the listing does not state a voltage range, confirm the specification before committing a floor if your supply swings widely.

Question 2

Can I order a full site quantity with a GST invoice?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ceiling schedules are worth routing through RFQ rather than the cart, so the whole quantity is priced together instead of at single-piece rates. GST invoicing is standard on every order, and contractors can settle on mobCredit terms.

Question 3

Why does one fitting look brighter than its neighbour?

Accepted Answer

Usually a difference in colour temperature rather than in output, because cooler light reads brighter to the eye at the same lumen figure. Mixing batches or colour temperatures on one circuit is the commonest cause of a ceiling that looks uneven once it is switched on.

Question 4

How many of these will a room need?

Accepted Answer

It depends on room size, ceiling height, wall colour and whether there is other lighting in the room, so there is no single figure. Have your electrician lay the points out on the ceiling and check the spacing before anything is cut, since gypsum does not forgive a second attempt.

Question 5

Will it fit my existing ceiling opening?

Accepted Answer

Only if the cutout matches. An opening smaller than the fitting needs enlarging, and one that is larger will not be covered by the trim. Measure an existing hole before ordering a batch, because a mismatch across twenty ceiling points is an expensive afternoon of making good.

Question 6

What is the difference between warm white and cool daylight?

Accepted Answer

Warm white is yellow-toned and is what most people want in bedrooms and living rooms. Natural white sits closer to daylight and suits kitchens, studies and bathrooms. Cool daylight is the coolest and brightest, generally used in utility areas, workshops and commercial spaces.

Question 7

Can it be used in a bathroom or on an open balcony?

Accepted Answer

Only where an IP rating is stated and suits the location. Where the source listing gives no IP figure, treat the fitting as dry-location: a general bathroom ceiling away from the shower zone at most, and not on an open balcony or anywhere exposed to rain.
